Enlarged 40m band in Italy! Finally!!
If you hear I stations transmitting over 7.100 MHz it's all OK, they aren't pirates! Finally we have permission to use 40 meter band from 7.000 to 7.200 MHz! This is good for SSB activities with USA.

On Monday, May 12 at 0628 UTC, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Sichuan, China. According to the Chinese Radio Sports Association, the Chinese IARU Member-Society, the following frequencies are reserved for emergency services involved in the rescue: 14.270, 7.050 and 7.060 MHz.
Lunedì 12 maggio alle 0628 UTC, si è verificato un terremoto dal magnitudo 7,8 nel Sichuan, Cina centrale.
In accordo con il Chinese Radio Sports Association, la Chinese IARU Member-Society, le seguenti frequenze sono riservate per le operazioni di emergenza: 14.270, 7.050 e 7.060 MHz.
